ICC Permits Betting Logos Promotion in Bilateral Series

The ICC has allowed betting companies to promote themselves during any bilateral ODI and Test match. The cricket governing body has lifted the ban on using their logos.

As per the reports during ICC events like the World Cup and Champions trophy etc the restriction on utilizing betting logos will stay as per the previous rule.

The decision has come when the England and Wales Cricket Board is investigating their coach, Brendon McCullum. He was found promoting a betting organization called 22Bet India. Brendon McCullum is the former captain of New Zealand and joined 22Bet India earlier this year as a brand ambassador. He worked on some promotional projects for the site.

As per the reports, representatives of the ECB stated that they are conducting an inquiry into the matter. They are in close contact with the coach regarding the matter. The ECB has its own betting rules and will always try to make sure they are followed. They will take tough action against people who will try to break them. The inquiry committee has asked the coach to elaborate on the terms of his agreement with the online betting platform.

There has been a flood of betting organizations in Pakistan cricket also. A number of different establishments in the Pakistan Super League are being supported through these organizations.

State Bank of Pakistan asked the PCB to create a code of ethics for PSL franchises as they supported these sites in PSL 8. It should require them to choose sponsors in accordance with the local laws of Pakistan.

PCB replied to as it is strongly opposed to promoting betting. Each sponsor company that it associates with signs a clause that bans these types of sites.

3rd T20 Match Prediction: New Zealand Vs Pakistan 2023

Pakistan has won 1st two T20s of the five-match series against New Zealand. After winning it, Pakistan is on a roll. The Green Shirts won the second Twenty20 International on April 15, 2023, at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore by a good margin of 38 runs. They defeated the guests by 88 runs in the first match.

Pakistan batted first in the second Twenty20 and their Babar Azam scored a sensational century to help them score a staggering 192/4. Fast Bowler Haris Rauf’s four-wicket kept New Zealand 38 runs short in response.

The Kiwis have a difficult task ahead of them to stage a comeback in the remaining three games. They are 0-2 down in the five-match series. The 3rd T20I between the teams will be played on Monday, April 17 at the same venue.

Analysis: New Zealand Vs Pakistan 2023

The reason to be at such a weak place is that most of the Kiwi Players have gone to India for IPL. So it’s a sort of B team that is playing against Pakistan. If main players like Latham, injured Williamson and others would have been there, it was difficult for Pakistan to get those easy wins.

Pakistan is taking full advantage of that. The batters as well as bowlers are doing good in the game. In tomorrow’s match, Haris Rauf would again shine like before but also the chance of Shaheen to get wickets is not faded. In batting, Babar is looking great but yes in the next match, his hunger for runs of Rizwan is also prominent. He can score good in the 3rd match.

Pitch Analysis: New Zealand Vs Pakistan 2023

Out of the teams that played at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore which batted first has won more than half out of the 26 matches but the gap is not that much. So it is difficult to say whom it will favor more. Pakistan’s victory over Zimbabwe is the most successful chase of 178 runs.

Pakistan’s victory in the first two matches also shows that it is favoring the target givers. Thus, the team winning the toss will hope to bat first and put runs on the board.

Probable Playing XIs: New Zealand Vs Pakistan 2023

Pakistan:

Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Fakhar, Saim Ayub, Shadab, Iftikhar, Imad, Faheem, Shaheen Shah, Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan

New Zealand:

Tom Latham, Chad Bowes, Will, Daryl Mitchell, Chapman, Neesham, Ravindra, Cole McConchie, Henry Shipley, Henry, Lister

Prediction: New Zealand Vs Pakistan 2023

Keeping in view all the above analysis we done, it is most probable that Pakistan will win 3rd T20 with a good margain.

Summary: New Zealand Vs Pakistan 2023 Details

  • New Zealand tour of Pakistan 2023
  • 3rd T20I Match

Today’s 1st T20I match between Bangladesh and Ireland has fantasy cricket tips and a Dream11 prediction available.

On Monday (March 27) at 1:30 PM IST, Bangladesh (BAN) and Ireland (IRE) will compete in the first T20I of their three-match series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. After white-washing Ireland in the ODI series, Bangladesh will aim to do the same in the short format of cricket.

On Monday (March 27), the first T20I of a three-match series between Bangladesh (BAN) and Ireland (IRE) will take place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, starting at 1:30 PM IST.

Having already whitewashed the visitors in the three-match ODI series, Bangladesh led by Shakib Al Hasan, remain unbeaten in the Ireland series. Although the second ODI between the two sides was cancelled due to rain, Bangladesh defeated Ireland in both the first and third ODIs. Andy Balbirnie’s Ireland are having a dismal tour in Bangladesh, having failed to win a single match so far. They head into the T20I series after suffering a crushing 10-wicket defeat in the third ODI. In order to turn their fortunes around, Ireland needs to find a solution to their problem and bounce back stronger in the T20I series.

Shakib Al Hasan, George Dockrell, Lorcan Tucker (VC), Taskin Ahmed, Curtis Campher, Paul Stirling, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Litton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mark Adair, Hasan Mahmud.

If the conflict with the Punjab government is not resolved, the PSL may be relocated to Rawalpindi or Lahore

The cost of security for the PSL games in Lahore and Rawalpindi has been the subject of a financial dispute between the PCB and the Punjab caretaker administration. If no decision is made by the PCB by Saturday about the status of the PSL games still being played in Punjab state, the league would be moved to Karachi, in the province of Sindh, starting on February 28.

According to reports, the government generated a PKR 450 million invoice for the security preparations the administration made. According to the government, the cost was originally estimated to be Rs. 900 million, but after revision, the government agreed to share half of the cost and asked PCB to cover the other half.

The PCB is adamantly opposed to paying, contending that the provincial government has the authority to provide protection.

Friday’s meeting between a team from the Punjab government and PCB chairman Najam Sethi at the Gaddafi Stadium ended without a decision being made. The PCB has now set the Saturday deadline so that the board can reschedule the event to begin on Tuesday because neither side has changed its stance. The Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi have already arrived in Lahore, and the TV production equipment is already being built at Gaddafi Stadium, thus the PCB cannot afford to postpone the league immediately.

In the worst-case scenario, PCB has a backup plan to play two games in Lahore on Sunday and Monday before travelling to Karachi if the Punjab government decides not to host PSL due to a cost disagreement.

The PCB informed the government that it had paid around PKR 700 million in provincial taxes due to PSL games being played in Punjab. According to the PCB, governments “pay fees to host sports events due to the positive economic activity generated as a result.”

Since there have never been prior requests for additional contributions of this nature, it is known that the government’s demand is unusual. When it comes to games in Karachi, the Sindh government just demands payment for the catering for the security officers and does not demand the PCB to contribute to the costs of protection. According to estimates, the price will be around PKR 30 million, and the PCB has already handed over PKR 50 million to Punjab.

The PSL’s first 12 games have been played in Multan and Karachi. Lahore currently has nine matches scheduled, while Rawalpindi is set to host a total of 11 games. The event’s leg in Multan is finished.

Three women’s “festival games” are also scheduled for Rawalpindi on March 8, 10, and 11 in the middle of the PSL. These games will include both domestic and international players as the PCB tests the concept before launching a full-fledged women’s T20 league in the future.

Now, the first game in Lahore is planned for February 26. Following that, the Rawalpindi leg will begin on March 1. Lahore will host the semifinals and final, which will take place on March 19.

Aiden Markram to Lead Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2023

South African opener Aiden Markram is set to lead the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The news comes as a surprise to many fans and analysts, as the 27-year-old has not captained any team in the IPL or at the international level.

Markram, who was bought by the SRH franchise in IPL 2022 auction for INR 2.6 crores, had a decent outing in his debut season with the team. He scored 302 runs in 13 matches at an average of 25.16 with one half-century to his name. Markram’s aggressive approach at the top of the order and his ability to take on the best bowlers in the world makes him an ideal candidate to lead the side.

The SRH franchise won the IPL title in 2016 and reached the playoffs in 5 out of the last 8 seasons. The franchise has had a history of backing young talent and providing them with a platform to showcase their skills. The decision to appoint Markram as the captain is another step in that direction.

Markram has played 30 T20Is for South Africa and has already shown his leadership skills while captaining the Titans in South Africa’s domestic T20 competition. He led the Titans to the final of the tournament in 2020 and was praised for his tactical acumen and man-management skills.

The SRH management, led by former India cricketer VVS Laxman, would have taken note of Markram’s leadership skills during his stint with the Titans and would have been impressed with his performances on the field. The franchise would also be looking to groom a young leader for the future and Markram fits the bill perfectly.

Markram is currently ranked 5th in the ICC T20I batting rankings. He will be having the responsibility of leading a young and inexperienced side in IPL 2023. The SRH franchise has always relied on its bowling unit to deliver the goods. Markram will also be having the task of getting the best out of his bowlers.

He will have to work closely with the team management to ensure that the youngsters are given enough opportunities to showcase their skills and are not burdened with too much pressure.

His appointment as the captain of SRH is also a reflection of the changing trends in the IPL, where franchises are increasingly backing young talent and giving them leadership roles. In recent years, we have seen the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson, and Rishabh Pant lead their respective sides with aplomb.

The new captain will have the opportunity to make a mark as a captain in the IPL and will be looking to follow in the footsteps of some of the successful young captains in the league. He has all the attributes to be a successful leader. He is aggressive, tactically astute and has the ability to lead from the front with his performances on the field. Lets see how does this season of IPL go with SRH with the new captain.

PCB to Shift All PSL 8, 2023 Matches to Karachi due to Financial Dispute

PCB has called a meeting of all Pakistan Super League stakeholders to talk about the upcoming matches in the cities of Punjab i.e. Lahore and Rawalpindi. The aim is to discuss whether or not Karachi should host the PSL 8 matches that currently take place in Punjab. The availability of suitable venues, the security situation in the region and logistical considerations would all be taken into account when this shifting of venues is taken into consideration.

As per official reports, the provincial government has asked PKR 500 million from the Pakistan Cricket Board to provide security and host the fixtures in Lahore and Rawalpindi. The reason for this decision is still unknown. It is worth mentioning that, the Pakistan Cricket Board has already paid PKR 50 million to the interim government for the provision of food. Now, the provincial government has asked for the remaining PKR 450 million for lighting and security for the teams and venues. The PCB will not be required to cover this cost if the matches are moved to Karachi. It could be a major change if it is changed to Sindh province.

If Pakistan Cricket Board decides to go with the already decided plan i.e. to hold matches in Punjab, then it will be ascertained that who will bear the expenses that the Punjab Government has asked for. The PSL 8 is currently being played in Karachi and Multan, but if this shifting of venues happens then, the rest of the matches that were supposed to be held in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi will be held in Karachi. The matches in the affected cities were planned from February 26 to March 19. It includes the Qualifier, Eliminators and most importantly the final. These key matches will be played from 15 March and the final on 19 March.

It is traditional that before taking any major decision, Pakistan Cricket Board seeks input from the franchise owners as they are the most significant stakeholders of the league. They have an equal part in the league’s success as PCB management.

It is most likely that the venues will be shifted to Karachi as it is difficult to pay such a huge amount at the last moment. Comparatively, it is convenient to play at already set venues i.e. in this case Karachi. Let’s see where they decided to play. Betjee-pro will keep our followers updated with any changes.

It is worth mentioning here that a total of 11 matches were to be played in Rawalpindi and 9 in Lahore.
